Chicken shack
Hi Everyone I got my chickens today as follows; Jasmin, Bluebelle , Light Sussex and a Rhode Island Red So excited. The Rhode Island Red appears to be the boss at the moment. I hope they find their way up the ladder tonight. I haven't named them yet. kerryegg
Congratulations. Shame about the weather. In my experience you may have to put them to bed tonight but they soon learn. Hope you enjoy your girls.

Dizzy-Deb
Aww congrats to you both on your new chickens. I am so envious, I really want to get mine now but sadly have to wait until hubby can prepare a site for them in the garden. Looking forward to seeing some pics of your new ladies when you get chance. Enjoy
Chicken shack
Thank you for posting your thoughts. Three went to bed but Jasmin hadn't a clue so Rhoda came back out and sat with her perched on the side of the buttler sink I had put in the run as a dust bath. I was able to go in and just pick them up and pop them in, I was supprised how easy it was. I will have to get up early to let them out. I have named them after the breed:- Jasmin=Jasmin, Bluebell=Bluebell, Rhode Island Red= Rhoda and I now need a name for the Light Sussex. Suggestions welcome.
