madchickenlady
I have been offered a lavender mottled hen by a breeder, but I've never seen the colour before. Does anyone have a pic?
craftyhunnypie
I wonder if they are meaning lavender cuckoo? I had a little cockerel - he was beautifully marked. I really miss him. Emma.x
madchickenlady
Hmmm, not sure They definitely referred to lavender mottled. I imagine it's a lavender hen with white fether tips, like a black mottled? I just can't picture it, IYSWIM. Lavender's are quite pale anyway
Mollie333
Ring up and ask. Maybe its a Lavender hen crossed with a Mottled cockerel. Josh is crossing a Salmon Pekin with a Mottled Pekin.

Redwing
Thats a sweet youngster, nice shape I think he is just shaded with lighter feathers not mottled, he will probably mature as a lavender losing those light feathers on the way
