i think ive told some of you about the bit of waste land next door to my house ,well i asked around and everyone said it had been empty for 20 years od so i phoned the council and asked if i could rent it as it was sitting empty and i got my letter thismornign saying that they are issuing me a lience to use the land for 6 months(free of charge) then they will review it and if im maintainign it they will do me a proper tenancy for 5 yrs then i can have the option to buy it ,im so excited ive been making plans in my head all day

it doesnt look much now but watch this space lol

the accsess from my garden (the whole hedge is coming down and a low fence with a gate will be replacing it )

 

 

my dad is already planning my walk in run and i will be putting lots of veg in for next year i cant wait to get started

Lucky lucky girl! Aren't you worried though about putting a run there and veg etc., and then after 6 months the council says sorry, they've changed their minds? I would not sleep until I have that 5 year bit of paper in my hand!

no hes told me that i will get it providing that ive done something with the land he said the only way they would say no is if it was still like it is now 6 months donw the line

That's brilliant, you are very lucky to have all that land and I bet you are glad you asked. If you didn't another neighbour could be using the land by now. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your progress!
