Krysia
We have got half a dozen or so Magpies who are very persistent. they have already damaged the toddler trampoline, have made a start on the big trampoline and have spent the last 2 days on the WIR threatening the chickens / ducks. we have also not seen any smaller garden birds for ages Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can deal with them? Lewis
Only thing I've heard is that they're clever and won't come back if one dies and is left hanging up in the garden Maybe phone a pest controller? Don't know why this is in Chickens?

Becka
A few years ago there was uproar up here because a few people used to shoot them to reduce the population. Like yours, they were aggressive and had pick off the local small bird population. I still wince when I hear the commotion when a magpie is emptying a birds nest. We don't have very many magpies but I've noticed a large flock of very noisy jays which are a close and equally noisy relative of the magpie. Hope you have success however you choose to tackle the problem. Becka
