foreveryoung
That's great, isn't it lovely to see them all pottering around happily together? its is!! Ihavehens - they have been in the same run since I got the to start off with (just the eglu run in between them) in the end I let the free range and they ended up all together - one day of squabbling and all settled - it was hard but in the end I just chucked my head in and checked all the birds out - they were fine so I left them to it over night - they all sleep separately but thats not a big thing (well until i need the isolation run up again lol. Nature Chick
Congratulations! We are on day 5 and still on separate sides of a divide in the eglu run, but so far so good. Another week and we will start free-ranging them together - fingers crossed we have as much success as you have!
little brown hen
Hi Ive had my new girls since Friday, so 5 days, they all sleep together and I have the newbies in the cube run and the others in the wir. Tonight Im going to put a fence up the middle of the wir and and put the new girls on one side and oldies on the other. The newbies look bored just shut in the run. There's going to be a bloodbath when they all get together judging by what happens when the get up in the morning, and go to bed at night but it's got to be done. So a week of the run split, then I'll start introducing them! Wish me luck!
chicken bark
Good luck with all the introductions. I think slowly does it is the key.

Guest
Day 4 of mine and this is the hardest one It is so annoying. I think 1 of my pekin's just doesn't like new bigger girls she is just crazy trying to rip them to shreds. I have had problems with her for ages so I might bid fair well to her next week
Plum
Week 6 of mine and they are still seperate except for the odd 10mins They are still young though Chickensgalore have you tried squirting her with water when she chases your new ones. If you sit with them for some time it does work and distract them so they give up
