I am considering having a go at hatching next year - could somebody recommend either a good book and/or website for a complete beginnner?

this is the book that was recomened to me:- Incubation: A Guide to Hatching and Rearing by Katie Thear

but as I used a broody I found it lacking in

but this forum was invalueable

A good way of finding out things is to read through old posts on here and see how people have done things - tend to get a better idea that way, and people will probably have asked the same questions you have, before

Thanks to you both - will get the book, and have also picked up quite a lot of info already as had already done what Lewis had suggested (though got a few more pages to get through yet! )

I also got that book, and it is fantastic, however, i think i got more information and help from here then any book could possibly provide, and so, may i take this opportunity to thank all those concerned for their help and patient replys to my many many questions!
