I would keep all the birds you got from this lady away from your bantams she must have a cold going round her birds as you said the silkie you got the other day from her has a cold you may need to get antibiotics from the vets if it doesnt clear up by itsself good luck oh and they are lovely photos leanne.

Those Polands are very nice looking are they sexed? the second one looks like a boy..

 

I would keep them separated until their colds have cleared up

They are sexed yeah, hopefully both hens! I'm not happy that I'm now having to nurse several Hens back to health Ive never had a sick bird! They are all eating and drinking, and ive popped garlic, ACV, minerals etc in the water and giving a warm mush for food.

Hopefully being the operative word, Polands can't be sexed at five weeks. I hope they are both girls for you but I wouldn't put any money on it just yet. I've hatched quite a few Polands and have never been so sure so early. Unless the breeder is proficient at vent sexing they can't know.

The breeder said she can tell just by looking at the head feathers. I have no idea as totally new to Polands.. I'm getting stressed now first colds, now may not be girls

I took quite a few photos last year of one of my Poland hatches. Four hatched and only one silver laced was a girl Even looking back at the photos now I can't tell which one of the two silver laced is Doris

I guess this was around eight weeks, these two are boys but the crele inparticular looked like a girl at this stage:

I accurately sexed some Polands at 9 weeks old but to be honest I was lucky with those two

 

I'd say you have one girl one boy there but of course cannot be 100% sure

 

If the breeder was convicing then I'd probably give them the benefit of the doubt

 

This is where researching your chosen breed really comes in handy!

I'd have to agree with redwing, the second one looks just like my Beaker did when he was that age.... now he's 11 1/2 weeks or so and defo a male, developing lovely sickles!!
