Betty and Lillys first moult

It won't do them any harm - they may lay less eggs, but it would give the a bit more protein, and divert their protein reserves from egg laying to feather making - it's hard for them to do both at the same time which is why egg production goes down when they moult. Mine are all on growers now, but they are pure breeds and had practically stopped laying anyhow.
