When I got both my boys their ipod touchs' at Christmas I got them from Currys as they were inclusing a speaker and an itunes voucher which I thought was a really good deal, so well worth looking out for these deals.

Snowy, when my 25 year old stereo finally packed up earlier this year, I bought this

 

 

It is absolutely marvellous, my Dad thinks the sound quality is even better than his Bose and Rosie is happy bopping around to it too. After a bad experience with a Panasonic version, which was pants and went straight back, I have to say that I am thrilled. Do shop around though and try to see/play with one before you buy.

If you can't get anywhere to try one then you're welcome to come and fiddle about with mine. That one comes in two versions; the later model doesn't have any push buttons on the front, just the remote. I much prefer this one myself.

 

My first try with the Panasonic was disastrous; despite living in the town centre, I couldn't get any DAB reception, although my other two DAB radios worked fine. Panasonic denied a problem, even when I directed them to an online forum with reams of similar complaints, so make sure that the DAB part works well on whatever you end up with.
