Can anyone recommend any online places please. DD has seen one at TJ Hughes but I'm not sure what they're like from there. Looked at Ikea but the doubles are all too big for the alcove by a small amount:wall:

Can't comment on the best place to buy a bed but TJ Hughes stuff is fine. They sell brand names and I've had great bargains from there. Have you seen the bed at TJ Hughes in the flesh? It might be worth a visit if you are within reach of one of their stores.

Just keep away from the ladies wear, they have leather gloves for a fiver or less and always have a great selection of bargain handbags, and a range of clothing similar to Per Una but a lot cheaper. Oh, and the kitchenware is great and cheap too

I have always found Argos very good, for cheap but comfortable beds. Ikea beds can be a false economy as they are very reasonably priced but because they aren't 'standard' size, it is very difficult to get sheets on stay on them, unless you buy from Ikea. To my misfortune I have always found Ikea bedding to be very cheaply made and very expensive Good luck with the bed hunt

Am fed up with looking so have ordered the one she saw at T J Hughes. Only irritating thing is that we have to wait for it to arrive but it would have been the same if we'd gone instore apparently

 

We're now looking at bedding She's like me as well. Everything she likes is the dearest-lol

Have to say we can't fault Warren Evans in service or products and have never looked back. When we were looking around for a new bed, even the manager of the bed department in our local John Lewis recommended them
