Like the tarps, going to put ours up soon. The weather will most likely be dry for weeks after we do that

The batty girls won't go in the run until they have feathered up but they have a with a huge fr area of their own with grass and woodchip. Once they are used to fring with my mob then I will section the WIR with partitions and the until I think they have all accepted each other. I hope by Christmas they will all be snuggled up in the together

I noticed yesterday that Peggy was limping and on closer investigation I found an old wound on her leg with some swelling. I imagine because she is moving around more now it has flared up, so off to the vets and she now has anti-inflammatory medicine. The vet was really shocked at her baldness and didn't realise what ex-batts look like (she is new but very nice ) especially as I took Mrs Summers for company who is even balder She weighed them both and gave Peggy a thorough health check - Peggy wasn't very keen at having her temp taken but was very good Her leg is still quite warm today but I am hoping the anti-inflammatories will do the trick

 

If anyone has any tips to speed up her recovery that would be great
