Am nominating myself for the Most Creative Use of Empty Aubiose Bags award.

 

I've opened them out and fastened them to the bottom half of the WIR with cable ties. It has made a huge difference to the dryness of the Aubiose, and is keeping the draft out. Not exactly beautiful, but we can't see them from the house.

Yes you win - I stuffed a 100ft extension lead in one today to keep the cable in one place not all round my shed. No contest tho

good plan! egluntyne, I'm just looking at your run - do you use tarpaflex on the sides as well, or do you find that because it's quite sheltered you dont get too much rain coming in between the sacks and the roof?

It is quite sheltered, so I don't have much problem with the roof leaking. There is one spot that has shown tendencies, but the combination of YS, ladder and silicone sealant has helped.

Wow - top marks for the best recycling! I keep meaning to order a clear tarp for mine, it's sheltered on three sides but even so last year when it rained heavily quite a lot of the run floor got wet. And the roof leaks a bit. The hens don't seem to mind, they shelter under the Eglu table if it rains really hard.
