Luvachicken
When I cleaned out my chickens today I noticed alot of ants around. They were on the roof of the run and the roof of the cube, as well as inside exploring the poo trays and the walls. Do they pose a problem to my girls ? I would have thought that they might eat the ones inside.
craftyhunnypie
They normally eat them, but I did have one chook once, who used to jump in the air. Don't know if they bit the underneath parts of her feet or what. Emma.x
Luvachicken
I must admit I got bitten by an ant once and the whole of my leg swelled up so much I could't walk on it and had to get 3 lots of medicine from the doctor so I am not surprised if your chicken jumped up. Charlottechicken
My girls love ants, so much so that I'm not expecting many new colonies in the garden next year as they really, really enjoyed the queen ants when they emerged to fly away
