Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I am sure you experts out there get frustrated with all our questions but us new to this really appreciate you.

My question is I used vermex about a month ago and Rhoda had diarrhea for 2 days after and I was very concerned for her and she stopped laying. She layed her since then today. I think I put too much cod liver oil into the mix. Once the diarrhea had cleared up I wormed them with flubavet as suggested on here. I will get to the point in a moment Now that I have used flubavet should I worm them with vermex once a month I won't over do the cod liver oil this time. They have a cube with double run and FR on a small patch of garden every day as OH works down the garden.

Hi its up to you but i wouldnt bother i switched from verm-x to flubenvet and i just use the flubenvet on its own now my chickens and ducks freerange all the time and i havent seen any worms in their poo leanne.

Like Leanne I just use Flubenvet. I wouldn't bother with anything else as well.

I'd say either / or as you're just wasting your money if you use both - just my opinion though.

I'd just use Flubenvet - not bother with the verm-x every month.

 

Verm-x is just a herbal wormer so more a preventative - flubenvet the only licenced wormer for chickens

Same here..flubenvet is a actual wormer "to get rid of" worms whereas verm-x is just a preventative.

 

I would rather eradicate a problem when it occurs rather than trying to prevent by giving something all the time.

 

Chooks wouldn't have all this in the wild so I (personally ) prefer to keep as natural as possible

We're worming at the moment, using Flubenvet
