Cinnamon
Chat here about this book by Bella Pollen. I was unable to get it for my Kindle,so haven't read this one The book for November is the amazing 'The Poisonwood Bible' by Barbara Kingsolver, which is a long & pretty complex read. Bearing that in mind,& given that its a busy time of year,I am going to think about giving us until January 1st to read this one,& we will chat about it in the new year...what do you think? Egluntyne
Am about half way through. Was very surprised to see the old chestnut about the reincarnated rabbit being regurgitated. Hardly original. Apart from that, I'm quite enjoying it so far.
fantasticjudyann
Yes Cinnamon I agree . I have read half of The Poisonwood Bible but finding it a bit hard going so would appreciate a bit of extra time. Jan 1st it is then?
chickencam
I havn't found a copy of Hunting Unicorns yet and have only just found The Poisonwood Bible, so the extra time would be great.
Seagazer
The extra time sounds like a good idea to me. Nearly finished Hunting Unicorns.

Seagazer
Well I've just finished reading Hunting Unicorns, I quite enjoyed it. Its a light 'fluffy' read but for some reason it took me ages to get into it. I'm not sure that I really believed in some of the characters although I liked Rory and his parents, barking mad aristocracy. If you've ever watched any of these fly on the wall programmes where they look at stately homes and what goes on in the background then you'll recognise it in the book. I think I'd have preferred it if they went more into depth with the 3 main characters and perhaps made it slightly longer as I was just left a bit disappointed. sadietoo
I've only just finished reading Dissolution... I really enjoyed it, and I can say without a doubt that it is not my usual sort of read, so thanks AJuff for suggesting it..... As I am so far behind, I will probably skip straight to the Poisonwood Bible...I remember a friend of mine raving about that one some years ago, so I'm very overdue to read it..... January sounds great to me too...
P&P
Took me a while to get properly engrossed in 'Hunting Unicorns' - to start with it was a pleasant enough read, but not really gripping. I got more interested once Rory's parents appeared in the story - thought they were great characters. From there on I really enjoyed it, though I felt it was a bit predictable in places.
