goodinparts
wonderful, ANH Thank you so much.... Barbara (my bluebelle) is our escape artist - but what really makes me laugh is the way that, having got over the chicken wire and having the freedom of the garden, she then panics because she's not with her friends and runs up and down the fence bokking madly to them - but doesn't seem to be able to fly back the way she has come (despite not using anything other than wings & sheer determination to get there across in the first place). So then I have to go and open the gate and skuttles back to tell them all about the Big Wide World ....and we repeat the process an hour or so later Having said all that, in most respects she's probably the brightest of my girls. But I didn't choose them for their brains
keyhole kate
I do think that pekins and brahmas are scarily clever. My cochins on the other hand are dim beyond belief...but very beautiful. How funny my two Brahmas are really dim. The gingernuts are definately the smartest of mine and I have a milleflur pekin that's as sharp as a pin and very bold and cheeky with it or do the others being even smarter than the Brahmas make them seem dim err off to ponder that one
Mr Rhode Island Red
I think mine are quite intelligent...they've found an escape route out of the run
Chortle Chook
I love that picture of all those hens looking through the wire when the door is open. Perhaps these girlies were just being a bit lazy rather than silly
