I check the web every day and am linked to a site that automatically checks stock but i'm no closer to getting one. Snowy Posted May 2, 2007 Share Posted May 2, 2007 They have been so hard to get Helly. I promised my son one for Christmas, but it was end of March before we got one. No one would let us reserve one, we just took every opportunity to call in and ask if we were passing shops. Called into Toys r us one day and they had one left from that days stock delivery. One Man Banned Posted May 3, 2007 Share Posted May 3, 2007 I really was lucky to get mine in January after charging around Bristol Gloucester and Cheltenham in hot pursuit of one Finally tracked one down in Argos Cribbs Causeway - Anita also wants one tho and cannot find one anywhere! As they are so in demand just keep trying desperately - it seems that you have to be quick as when they come into stores they only get a couple and they go out very quickly (in one of the stores the young chap said the staff nabbed all the stock as soon as they came in !) One Man Banned Posted May 3, 2007 Share Posted May 3, 2007 UPDATE: People in the South West aren't as keyed up to the lure of the Wii as others and I have found a few nearby (Bristol mainly) that I have reserved. So that means Helly Welly's is getting sorted over the weekend, and Anita can finally get her hands on one. I have three more reserved that I can get hold of - so if anyone else is after one let me know - if not I'll let the reservations drop off (They will tomorrow anyway) or maybe buy one or two and shove them on Ebay!! She then mentioned the WII and said they are like gold dust - only 4 delivered a week where she lives, so she was going to try to get one here. helenp Posted May 28, 2007 Share Posted May 28, 2007 we went online at Argos and reserved ours about 3 weeks ago,we collected it the same day we got the girls. You put in your postcode and the system checks stores local to you, and it is reserved, you then have till the close of the store the next day to collect it.
