craftyhunnypie
Help! This really is not like me. I am lacking inspiration for my crafty swop. I purposely set aside this weekend to make my gift. I have started something, but whether I will go with it I don't know. I've searched the internet, my books & just need to find the confidence that my gift will be ok or find something that inspires me more. I did start knitting on Friday, but gave up when I realised how slow it was growing. Then I thought about crochet - as that's my best & favourite craft - but I'm unsure what to make. I then thought painting, decopatch etc. I just feel my weekend has been non productive so far. It might change by tonight. I just wanted a Xmassy feeling crafty weekend. bluekarin
It's frustrating when that happens. I have that block at the moment with my Christmas cards. I'd better get a move on. What about decopatching some plain glass tea light holders. I saw the lampshade that attic 24 Anna did and it looked amazing. The table runner is a great idea too. I am thinking of making one for our table. Good Luck!

craftyhunnypie
Got a bit of inspiration - thanks everyone! I'm going to do what I'm good at - with a few extra yummy things thrown in as well - if the experimenting goes ok. Sorry Couperwife & Cinnamon - maybe next year. ( I could be fibbing ) I'll willingly make anyone anything though - I like creating & giving makes me feel all sweet. He he. Emma.x
Plum
Good sounds like what I end up doing - except the extra yummy things I always chew things over and nothing seems good enough. What I end up doing is making something I've wanted to do for a while that I enjoy doing and get a lot out of it and actually have to get it finished Really enjoying doing this one, having fun and adapting patterns

AJuff
Over the years of internet browsing I have built up a crafty inspiration file of photos. They are in categories for brooches, Easter, Christmas, new baby etc. When I need inspiration I look in it and hey presto I think of something. I never just copy others original work but i use it to bounce ideas off. I was sat looking at my new reindeer candlesticks I bought from the Country Living Chiristmas fair in Glasgow and thought of a new crafty idea. I'm half way through making it now. . . . .
