When I worked for the National Rivers Authority, we had a Dr Waters, a fisheries officer called Pike, another colleague, sadly no longer with us with the surname Mycock, had a wife called Di. I currently have a colleague called Eileen Inward.

 

I love these name coincidences!

We have a Dr Love in our surgery too.

A teacher was Miss A Corn

A fellow that used to live round the corner was Peter Abbott (say it quickly) - his nickname at school was Bunny.

A dentist that I really loathed and put me off going for many years was Mr Stabbins. And he did - while trying to apply the anaesthetic he (with the needle) scratched my tongue, scratched my gum and even s"Ooops, word censored!"ed my teeth before jabbing it into my gum. It wasn't a one off either. And whilst extracting a tooth in readiness for my brace he screamed at me to let go of the chair arms before I broke them! Lovely character NOT!

I used to work in a bank and very naughtily We had a customer Andrew Dick and when we ordered his card we just put on it - A Dick (well he was! so didnt feel too gulity) We also had Mr De-ath and Mr O'nion and a Mr munstermann, who just made us laugh when he came in as we all used to giggle its the monsterman! (Well we were very young at the time
