Not been a good few days!! noticed late Sunday night someone had used my card details to buy £210 worth of Euros from Easyjet. got it sorted fairly easy but have to wait for a new card check again this evening and 2 more purchases in Amsterdam and Dublin £240 total.The bank says there shouldn't be any more as the card was stopped sunday So came off the phone and thought oh i better trawl through my last 4 months , well end of Oct they bought some chocolates and 2 times in November they bought pre-pay O2 £45 total. The bank dealt with it excellently and fortunately it was my account not our joint account (not much money in mine!! ) but a pain in the butt as i have things on ebay i am watching but can't use my card on there until new one arrives and have something i bought from debenhams online and can't ask for a refund as i have no card !! serves me right for saying its never happened to me in 25 years

 

Just thought i'd share, check the small amounts as they are easy to bypass!

Had that o2 one a few months back. Only for £10 or so but fortunately saw it straight away so it didn't go any further.

 

Hope you get your card quickly so you can get back to bidding.

 

Not a nice experience. WIll double check my bank statements again...

I believe they start with tiny amounts to check your card works then hit you with bigger ones . Glad you got it sorted .

Yes been there twice - normally petrol stations - pay by cash or credit card as they can;t get to your account.

Well I went to dublin on saturday and came home today but can categorically state it was not me!! Its a real pain - mine was done a few years ago and I check all the time.
