JPalmer
Hi, I got my first chickens (all Polands) in the beginning of August. They were about 6-8 weeks old when I got them and two ended up being cockerals (sigh). I have one hen but she still hasn't layed one egg. I figured she wouldn't until next year sometime. But I have seen people on here that have been getting eggs still so are any Poland owners getting any eggs if so what could be the issue with mine?? I have put in grit in containers in the eglu but doesn't seem to attract any attention haven't had to fill it up in ages. Any ideas???? Thanks for all your help in advance! txswanie
Hi, I have a 5 month Polish and we are not sure of the sex. No sign of broody behavior but also no crowing. What age do Polish generally start to lay? thanks Colette
jackthelad
I have 2 polish girls and both are moulting and haven't layed for the last couple of months so you are not the only one without eggs!!
Griffin
My Olive will be two in August. She has never ever laid an egg She's never grown any sort of comb or wattles or gone red in the face. I still love her more than all the others though
Patricia W
I have several Polish girls. In my experience they are late to start, but prolific when they get going - at least between February and end of October. None of mine are laying now, but I'm expecting them to start again round about Valentine's day. Be patient - you will get eggs!

Daphne
And one of mine started just before Christmas and the others look ready to go. As Tricia says, but unfortunately Griffin hasn't had this much luck, usually they are right little egg-laying troopers!
