WarrensWorld
We had a bad shock today we opened the Cube and found a dead Robin under the roosting bars. The half Robin was only recognisable by its head and breast. Chickens T Rex indeed.

Sam
What!? I'm new to chicken keeping really, but how could that happen?! Would a chicken chase down a robin and catch it like a dog would a rabbit or would it have got into the cube? Wow. . . !
megalin
Woah.... I've heard of mouse catching chickens but robin catchers! I must say, my matron goes bonkers about the blue tits.... I'll keep her well clear of them from now on. Can't of been nice to wake up to.
chuckmum6
What happened to the other half? I would imagine it was eaten by a chicken they will eat small creatures if they catch them!
jennydavies
Our girls caught a small sparrow like bird in the henhouse run and trampled it to death before half eating it
Lavenders_Blue
Mine caught and attempted to eat a sparrow earlier in the year. It was totally gross and quite horrifying to watch! I must admit I was less grossed out when they caught and ate a mouse, I was just grateful that they were helping to keep the rodent population in check! mostin
That's weird, HENthusiastic just told me that she had found a dead Robin in her girls run today as well , they are definitely out for all the extra protein they can get in this weather
megalin
Maybe the red chests have something to do with it?
