chickencam Posted January 4, 2011 Share Posted January 4, 2011 This is the one that I want, I changed it to my Christmas one easily because it was saved in my pictures on my computer and was the right size the version that I have of my usual one in my pictures is too big. The above picture is the one I have on photobucket but I can't work out how to get it from there to my avatar in the user profile. Any help would be gratefully received. Snowy Posted January 4, 2011 Share Posted January 4, 2011 If you go into it on photobucket, choose edit and resize, and resize to a maximum of 80 x 80 pixels. Check the 'keep proportions' box so it won't squish it out of shape, then save as original (or as a copy if you want to keep the original) Then copy the plain URL (without the IMG tags) Go to User Control panel/profile/edit avatar. Tick the box to delete old image and submit. Go back into edit avatar, and paste the URL into the box 'Upload from an URL' Submit again. That SHOULD do it! I have tried all of them and they are either invalid or it says that they are unable to determine the size of the image. This is the resized image. patsylabrador Posted January 4, 2011 Share Posted January 4, 2011 I just did my avatar. After resizing on photobucket I right clicked the image and then saved as into my computer's pictures file. chickencam Posted January 4, 2011 Author Share Posted January 4, 2011 I have got as far as having no avatar at all and now photobucket seems to have crashed I managed to resize my image and save it in my pictures but when I tried to upload it it seems to have been saved accross in a slightly larger format.
