pips_pekins
So new cube is ordered but it seems it may be remain empty I am in Bedfordshire but close to herts and bucks. I have tried Thornes in Letchworth who are really helpful and I was so hoping to be able to get my girls from there but they only have hybrids and have no plans to breed any pure breeds at the moment. I am happy to wait a bit but would really like to get some girls by around April/May time if possible. Definitely would like silkies and then perhaps either pekins, sussex bantams, frizzles or the smaller araucanas. Any suggestions? Many thanks. Chortle Chook
If you would be prepared to go West a little, PM me and I can give you the details of a very nice lady who lives near Henley and has lots of different breeds. I got my Frizzles from her but she has lots of other kinds too. I was given her details at the Newbury show last autumn.
soapdragon
Try googling Mother Hen at Woodcote on the Berks/Oxon border (near Reading) we got out three Light Sussex Bantams from them - the chap is head keeper at Beale Park so clearly knows a thing or two!! Good Luck
