patsylabrador
I'm watching Mozart Uncovered on BBC 4 and really enjoying it. I enjoy opera & classical music but I really love a bit of Mozart. Other composers I find ok, but his music I find irresistible.
sari
My 9yr old and I have just watched DR WHo a t the Proms. We have Thinking Through Music sessions at school, and the kids loved the Magic Flute..the stories they came up with from the music were amazing
Saronne
Radio 3 has been playing the complete works of Mozart all this week and it doesn't finish until the 12th of January. I find his music beautiful and very calming- it also helps me concentrate when I'm working. I don't think I'm alone on this one...anybody else on this forum feel the same? goodinparts
Yes - I'm with Saronne...Mozart clears the brain like "Ooops, word censored!"ody else. His music also worked better than almost anything to calm the children when they were small. Love it. One of my two absolutely essential "Desert island" composers (Bach is the other one)
Sheilaz
What a lovely topic, Patsylabrador. Yes, I find Mozart's music uplifting and Bach is another favourite. One of my personal projects this year is to make my music collection more accessible, to listen more often, and to explore different works that are less familiar to me. Mozart is a good place to start.
miffy
I've been enjoying radio 3 coverage too, excellent
craftyhunnypie
Nothing like Eine Kleine Nacht Musik played by a busker on a violin, under the arches of the Dom Platz in Salzburg. The accoustics are amazing & I love it. Have also seen Die Zauberer Flote ( Magic Flute) perform by Marrionetten puppets - fantastic! I would highly reccommend it! Nothing beats the Mozart Kugeln ( balls) chocolates though. Mmmm mmm mmmm. Emma.x
sari
My DOH has sorted me out a little tranny this morning, so I can listen to the Radio whilst I clean out the chooks....They did not like Radio 4 this morning....it was a slightly dull program, I don't listen to Radio 2 or local staions...its, 6Music or & or 4...or some DAB only ones for me..so founds Radio 3..which they seemed to love!!! SO I've left it in my waterprof box, to lsiten to later when I go down....wasn't Mozart though!
