Chicken bald back

Yesterday Vera laid for the first time in weeks. Last night as I was putting eggs in a box to take to work today I accidently cracked Vera's egg. Not wanting to waste it I put it in a little pot. As I broke the egg into the pot a lash the size of a marble fell out . The egg had a funny smell so it got rinsed down the sink.

Has anyone else had a lash within an egg?

Thanks for that, I wondered what it was I found in poop tray the other week, meant to post on the forum at the time but didn't get round to it.

 

I was a little concerned as the one I saw seemed to have a neck,beak and body so was wondering if one of the girls had got out and found a cockerel somewhere
