I was thinking of perhaps buying a run extension for the cube and then hubby suggests buying 2 instead of 1, and then just letting them have that space instead of the space they do have. But my garden is only 30ft by 40 ft in the first place and I think it may look a bit silly having such a huge run - and I do only have 2 chickens at the moment.

And they wouldn't have that lovely lilac mud pit, also I don't think I'd like to see them shut in permanently although they would be free from any predators.

What should I do ?

This is how everything looks at the moment...apart from the sunshine and flowers

I bought the cube this summer with an exta extention pluss the netting to give them an area like you have. I also have a small garden. When they reduced the price of the run extentions I bought two more making into a four metre run. I have covered it with transparent tarpuline for the winter. Last summer they could get out much more in the netted off area as my husband is home and works down in his garage where he can keep an eye on them. It has been great for them this winter they have had shelter and plenty of space and I have let them out in the garden when I have been out there as the garden is a bit of a mess at this time of the year. I will continue to net a piece of my SMALL garden off when I have had a good tidy so they get a change of scenery. Go for it they will be safe when you are not aroung and Omlet may increase the prices again. I also think there is free postage at the moment.

Well, in the end I just went for one extension because for most of the time they do get to play out. But it will be handy when we go away for the weekend because now they will have more space to play in - and it's coming on Thursday

As for the green stuff I'm not sure I can remember what it is anymore....................

Thanks for the advice xxxx
