cooker
Our audrey is undergoing a massive moult. Every night when I go to lock them up there are more white feathers scattered over the run. She has just had a worm infestation of some kind (I think) I am treating with flubenvet (day 4today) and her poo has firmed up nicely. Could the moulting be connected to the worms? Is it normal for them to moult at this time of year? She is about 17months old. Thanks for your advice in advance! Rachel
Egluntyne
One of my Fenton Blues is going through a spectacular moult at the moment. Daft if you ask me.

JillM
It's nice to see the chickens haven't bothered reading any of the books which would tell them when they SHOULD moult!
Griffin
Some of mine started moulting in August and they've taken it in turns ever since. I thought they'd finished but now Francesca and Maude are doing it
percy049
mine were moulting around november, but only a few feathers out at a time. however, now there are now LOADS of feather spike cases everywhere in the house
daxigirl
Paxo's having a go a moulting at the moment, I believe she's going for the hen rescue look with a sort of slightly crumpled 3 feather tail and a whispy beard. Not very attractive. I caught sight of her head yesterday and it was a grey colour, I thought she was covered in mites or something horrible but on closer inspection it was just quill casings coming through. Phew that was a relief I can tell you.
Mollie333
My frizzle Polish is moulting. All 3 of my old Pekins have just finished growing back feathers.

cooker
Phew, shes not abnormal then! her feathers had lost their white gleam anyway with all the winter dust/mud bath's. Indeed, at least she will be looking good in the spring! Thanks, Rachel
