beach chick
this is probably a really weird question, but I have some spare playsand the girls would like - but it's soaking wet! am experimenting with a couple of seed trays full of it in the laundry room, but it doesnt seem to want to dry out... any ideas o clever omleteers? jellykelly
Baking tray in the oven on a low heat?
Laura & CTB
Yep - in a baking tray in the oven after the dinner finished cooking. These days I look for playsand that's been kept under cover - why do some garden centres keep playsand open to the elements?

Roobaloo
I had the same thing (I bought the play sand, left it outside and the heavens opened....) but I just put it in a big shallow container and kept it in the conservatory until dry, then gave it to the girls. The stuff at the bottom was a little damp but they didn't seem to notice!
beach chick
it works!!! first batch done, just starting the 2nd one. going to give it to the quail instead, those chickens get all the fun....
scarlettohara
They don't mind it a bit damp, mine like digging in it
keyhole kate
I use kiln dried sand from wickes it is cheaper than playsand but left to the elements it still gets wet
