Lesley Posted February 19, 2011 Share Posted February 19, 2011 I usually use Skype for chat unless any family member is away and then I use the webcam - I've just used it to chat to my grandchildren and they're highly amused to find I've been replaced by an animated cat!! Have I clicked the wrong thing or have I done something else? I haven't got anyone else to Skype so that I can find out at the moment........I've checked my settings....and I'm sure I just opened the wrong thing I'd really like to chat to them tomorrow rahter than just have them falling about laughing at me . If it's the latter (and if your PC is a Dell or HP), the answer may well be here, whereas if we're talking about an emoticon, your answer is probably here. Blackrocksrock Posted February 20, 2011 Share Posted February 20, 2011 If you go to your profile if you choose yourself in skype when you have the video cam on it says take a picture - it shows you what the videocam is seeing so should be able to check its ok - If it is a bad connection sometimes you get the profile picture coming up!
