I'm sure I've read somewhere that solely feeding corn will stop or reduce laying - the reason I mention it is Roxy is recovering from an 'egg tackle' problem and could do with some time off. I realise feeding corn on its own is not something that's recommended, or for a long period, but would a few days to a week give her time to recover or would it cause more problems?

Giving corn only reduces or stops egg production, as they dont get enough vits/mins/protein from the corn. It shouldnt harm them if you only feed them corn

You'd be better with wheat. Corn makes them fat,

 

Neither should be fed as a long term solution though, as they are not particularly nutritious.

I agree with Egluntyne, wheat is better, also keep her in the dark and withdraw water for 12 hours; all of these will stop her laying for a bit.

I agree, wheat is best, most 'mixed corn' mixes sold are mainly wheat though

I once read in a henkeeping book that you can use weetabix for this. Might prove expensive though!

Anything that isn't layers feed will make them lay less or not at all. That's why i recommend keeping treats to a minimum.
