sparkysmum
Went out for an early morning jog about with the dogs & Simon. Feeling good, no rain, hail or snow. All was well with the world, when we heard a tap - tap - tapping. Realising it was a woodpecker we stopped to listen. Eagle eyed Simon spotted it and for a few magical moments we watched as the little woodpecker drummed for its breakfast. Who could ask for a better start to the day Whats your perfect morning

freddie
After a huge downpour this morning, we've got.................... Sunshine!!! A rare and welcome sight! I've been out and swept all the spiders out of my summerhouse, and am airing all the seat covers that have been in there over winter, as we couldn't get the door open since mid December(OH had to take it off in the end) I'm making some bread, and all is well in sunny, Yes, let me repeat that Sunny Devon
Snowy
Lovely! My magical morning was last week - after months of feeling below parr and not being able to get out for my daily walk, followed by an op in January, I finally got out with the dogs again. It was glorious sunshine and the sky was clear blue. Only got halfway across the first field, but I stopped and closed my eyes and listened to the larks singing and felt the sun on my face. It was utter bliss! The only thing missing was my tent and camp stove

mini welly
My perfect morning is waking up and realising it's the half term, and I lie in bed for at least two hours after I wake up, reading!!!

Who could ask for a better start to the day Whats your perfect morning Well that is funny, I went out in my dressing gown this morning to let my chooks out and sat down on one of the garden chairs to watch them come out and I too heard a woodpecker!!!! I couldn't see it so I don't know what type it was but it was certainly busy! I then went in for a yummy cooked breakfast made by OH, went back to bed to listen to the archers before thinking about getting up! Back to school for us all here tomorrow so 6.30 starts so I am making the most of my bed while I can! I am actually still thinking about getting up, better do so on there will be no point soon - shocking slob here today!!!!
Old Speckled Hen
Another nature buff here. I spent years partying around the world but I've found home now and I get great joy from all the normal everyday things here. I wake up to the morning chorus;the thrush and blackbird. Then I listen to the rookery wake and stretch its members into chatter before they all fly off in raucous unison. Now spring is round the corner I watched through yesterdays early morning mist as first one then four then twenty Curlew circled overhead and listened till their plaintive eerie calls disappeared into the distance. Taking the dog out early this morning we surprised our resident Roe Deer trio, two does and last years calf, and the oldest stamped her foot at us in anger before they pronked over the field and slid through the hedge into the woods. Returning home before anybody else was up I caught a flash of red, and running up the hill after him I was in time to see him turn and look at me. "You just watch it" I said, wagging my finger at him and he just laughed and sloped away.
Cinnamon
I love hearing the birds in the morning too,but I can honestly say that my favourite morning sound is that of someone else emptying the dishwasher
