Crop Problem Advice needed (Pip) UPDATE

Recommended Posts

Well i posted before about pip having her op for impacted crop and has been fine then she went off her legs recovered well but has had a full crop 2 mornings this week and we have had to make her sick the first time worked well, did today got the blockage up but she has gone back to the coop and has been there for about an hour and a half, i am very worried :( we have spoken to the vets and they said if it keeps happening it would be best to pts which we are very upset about this, but now we are thinking she has a abnormality as she has suffered from this a few times the vet said as long as she is well in her self that each time she does get blocked we can make her sick but make sure she has apple cider vinegar, but at sometime or other she will develop an infection which will need anitbotics.

The thing that is worrying me if this keeps happening is putting her to sleep i konw it will be the kindest thing to to do and i will put her first always, its just its so hard deciding whether its best to do while she seems well in her self or do you keep making her sick and hoping she keeps strong to try and save her :?:

Let chooks out this morning and pips crop was back to normal and she was the brightest she had been in a long time so phoned the vets and we have decided as she is in no pain we are going to wait and see how it goes as a the minute she is very happy and when the times comes if she's in pain or there is nothing we can do we will do the right thing. The vet agrees as apart from her crop is otherwise healthy and once she gets into difficulty it would be best then. I just have hope that her crop will start emptying by it's self. Thankyou for the well wishes you are all great on here :)
