Seagazer
Wow your old ones must have been good ones to last that long. Ours usually never last more than about 8 years. Will you just be looking at them for today then? I hope they're really comfortable.
scarlettohara
I so envy you I can't get my sofa out of our sitting room (goodness knows how the removal men got it in !) without cutting it up
beach chick
well the old ones must have been a good buy - black leather from Habitat in 1986!!! but SO dated now, not to mention the fact that there is no stuffing left in any of it. we went for leather on the grounds that trashed leather looks better than trashed fabric, as we had cats at the time. the new ones are fabric... this may be a mistake - we still have 3 cats (not the same ones obviously), plus a Lab, plus a 14 yr old and a 12 yr old. however the 2 seater has moved into the kitchen for the dog (!!) - it looks hideous, I need to bung a throw on it, but am NOT buying a new one for the dog (well not yet anyway, even though I do sit on it too). even as ancient as it is it is still more comfortable than the one we used to have in there, which we inherited from the in-laws... scarlett - your time will come!! and although I didnt have to dismantle the old ones I have had to completely rearrange the house to get the old ones out so the men can just bring the new ones in - some time between 2 and 5pm today, oh I am SOOOOOOOO excited!!! dfs joelle range in case anyone is interested - chocolate brown for the 4 seater, choc brown floral for the 3 seater, formal back....!!! I just hope they live up to my expectations!! I might even be really sad and post pictures later - NOT with chickens in though!
keyhole kate
dfs joelle range in case anyone is interested - chocolate brown for the 4 seater, choc brown floral for the 3 seater, formal back....!!! I just hope they live up to my expectations!! I might even be really sad and post pictures later may I say what an excellent choice of furniture you have made I have the joelle but in black cushion back 4 seater and the swivel cuddler chair which my 18yr old calls the teacup and the round footstool which is huge it all hoovers up lovely even DD tan & white dog hairs come right off. On reflection Brown may have been a better choice as we have 2 black cats who blend in to said sofa so nicely they keep getting sat on Seriously I love it as it looks so smart I had a feather filled super squishy 4 seater previously although very very comfy always looked untidy. I feel your excitement I was just the same Enjoy!!! Edited April 2, 2011 by Guest
