Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Has anyone tried cleaning the black bits of mould that seem to grow slowly in bath sealant? I've read somewhere that oregano essential oil works. Does anyone know if it does or have a recipe for what essential oil or natural remedy would?

 

Also, do you have any suggestions for cleaning the inside of the oven glass door? I wipe the oven down, rather than use chemicals, but it isn't working long term.

I use a glass s"Ooops, word censored!"er on the oven door, in between toxic visits from the oven cleaning man.

I have had some success using neat Domestos on black mould. I soak strips of cotton wool in the bleach and lay the cotton wool against the mould. It can take several applications.

I know this is not a "green" answer to the problem, but I haven't had any success with any other product, green or otherwise.

This from Lakeland is brilliant. I have a couple of their other cleaning products and they are great too

I use the Flash with Bleach or Dettol mould & mildew stuff,which is brilliant.

Yes, I meant to say too, our Robert Dyas sells HG.

I'd never tried them before, and I know it's not green thinking, but it did work on the black mould on the sealant!
