I went to look at a friend's sick hen yesterday, the hen had a blocked crop that had led to a nasty case of sour crop Dappy Chick came to my rescue with some meds and recommended maggots to feed the hen to eat through the blockage Not knowing where to get maggots at such short notice and with working full time I didnt want to have to seek out a fishing bait shop but I remembered an improbable vending machine I once saw - a maggot vending machine! I got my maggots there at 7am this morning and the hen had eaten her fill be 8am, hopefully they will do the trick Anyway after a bit of waffling I thought it worth posting about in case anyone else finds themselves with an urgent need for maggots! Unfortunately, she was so ill, she barely ate them (but the other girls liked them!) I am also glad to see that there are 3 vending machines within 5 mintues of me! Not sure if thats closer to you or not.
