Guest
Interesting post Louisewomble. I am sad to hear that the driver is penalised rather than the packer What is the reason for this do you get told? Does anyone suffer if the customer rejects a substituted item? Yep - all returns come off his quarterley bonus! Even the subs! That's not on at all and also the part about subs in your next post. I'm usually OK with the subs but the last one I had was a piece of beef which was double the price of the one I'd ordered and it wasn't a huge piece either so I sent that back. Only spillages I've had have been due to the packing - burst yoghurts and leajing milk. Would love to complain to Ocado about the drivers losing their bonus because of this but I would imagine it's not supposed to be public knowledge
abwsco
Bumping this as it's nearly time for my renewal again. What's everyone currently paying? Reenwal is £69.99 for the year for me but we've now got a Waitrose a bit away who deliver FOC if the order is over £50. Never tried their service though. Really not sure if it's worth renewing as again I only get any offers when I haven't shopped with Ocado for a while and that still annoys me as yet again o2 have given me half price broadband for the year for being loyal to them. Chucky Mama
The good thing about Waitrose vs Ocado is that you can choose the fresh meat, cheese etc by weight rather than the pre packed weights unless they have changed that now. I hated not being able to buy loose product. I have only had a problem once with the service, it is generally very good.
The Dogmother
I find that Waitrose deliver only gives you what they have in that particular branch, I can't get some of the things which I can with Ocado so I stick with the latter. My deal on the delivery charge has ended and I'm back to £9.99; a bit of a pain but still cheaper than me trolling over to a supermarket, which I hate and wasting time and patience shopping and queuing only to get home and find that there aren't any parking spaces in my street - it saves a fortune on my stress levels, and being 'time poor' I really appreciate the extra time it buys me. abwsco
Thanks both Might try a Waitrose delivery and see what it's like.
Pearls007
My delivery pass has been £109.99 pa for the last two years - my renewal is in August. Recently I've had an issue with stamps on my delivery. Like many people I have been stocking up on stamps, - and twice they have been missing from the order when it was delivered. Once it was two books which I didn't realise until after the driver had gone. The next time I ordered 4 books - two 1st and two 2nd class and I checked while the driver was there - NO STAMPS! I'd been charged for them - £19.68! The driver removed them from the order but someone somewhere half inched them - and the stupid thing is I felt guilty phoning customer services! Go figure. When you order stamps from Ocado (I always do) each book comes in a separate envelope so they are not hard to spot.

abwsco
Thought I'd update. I cancelled my delivery pass shortly after my April post and since then I've had offers through of 20% and 25% off a shop. Better offers when I haven't shopped regularly with them.............
