Sorry it's taken so long, here are Mrs Doyle with her surrogate babies (they are wyandotte bantams hatched for a friend). Pingu, George, Wobbly and Tiny - although we still confuse who's who.

 

Thanks for all the support through the sit and the hatch, they're fab! No idea if they're boys or girls, the next few weeks will tell!

They are great pictures and wonderful chicks . Mum looks really well too, no sign of paleness around her headgear, which is wonderful. No idea on the "boys or girls" question, they all look great, so who cares .

what a lovely set of pictures. They are very cute indeed...micro did look quite similar but seemed to be a bit darker and slower off the mark than your guys...or gals!

I'm not sure if it's true for Dotties, but girls generally feather up faster than boys and there looks to be a bit of a difference in the wing feathers on yours .........

I think Tiny could be a boy & George a girl. Unsure of the others as can't see too close up. Don't count on me though!

That's my instinct too Emma, although I'm no expert. I think pingu is a boy too - the one to the left with an Alice band marking on the picture with tiny. Think wobbly might be a girl but maybe that's wishful thinking. More pics as they get bigger.
