Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Hi. So excited! We are collecting our first 2 chickens tomorrow. They are around 13 weeks old and one is a Serama and the other a Naked Neck! Very different to the original planned breeds but have fallen in love with NN and the one we are getting came as a set with the Serama. Still deciding names but feel like a child on Christmas eve - bet I hardly sleep. Thank you all for your advice to this point. I know I will need plenty more

We understand your excitement! I was in Spain recently and as I was walking along the road I spied a garden full of naked necks. My companions thought I was a bit weird getting excited about it and knowing what they were.

Make sure you have lots of chook watching time on Sunday and have a camera at the ready 'cos you know what we are all waiting for (I'm not at all sure what a Serama looks like so eagerly waiting to be shown )

Well we finally have chickens I am already totally besotted with them. OH was not keen on having a naked neck but his face was a picture when he held her and he has completely changed his mind. She is much more inquisitive than the serama who is more nervous and follows her sister everywhere. Early days but so happy we have taken the plunge. Pictures tomorrow.

Hi. I hope you have all had a good weekend. Here are some pictures of our new girls. I hope you like them. One is a Serama, the other a Naked Neck.

 

The Cube is not set up yet but will go along the wall that you can see in the pictures. It will be connected to a WIR once we have built it

 

Today has been a good day. They are much braver than they were yesterday and very inquisitive. The funniest thing was watching OH trying to catch them to bring them in for bedtime
