Coop light problems!

Your help please oh Omleteers...

 

Got a new netbook the day before I came to Uni (laptop was in repair) and it can be sooo slow already! ... to the point that I want to take it back and complain! I know its going to be slower than my laptop but not this slow!

Its got AVG anti-virus, only a photos and coursework - no music or films that would waste loads of memory.

 

I use Internet Explorer atm and its normally fine for everything else but decides to crash sometimes and its really slow on Facebook chat and Hotmail. Literally takes 10 mins to open an email, have to sign in and out a few times and it'll eventually work

 

So, those of you with netbooks, which browser do you use?

Not a net book, but when I had my old slow laptop, I found firefox better

I have google chrome and firefox on mine. I have both as I regularly use a website that is not compatible with chrome and I prefer chrome as my default.

Definitely Chrome. Sooo much quicker than Internet explorer and firefox! (Well it is on mine) And it looks a lot better too

We've all been moaning about it thinking it was our laptops but now think its Uni doing something dodgy with the network!

I use Chrome on my nettie and it runs really well Lewis

it depends on what your netbook can use, there are lightweight browsers out there but you'd have to look. DONT use IE, use firefox 4 or chrome for speed
