Sam
Hello. Is the chickens alert call to a fox (cant think how to put this, but) contagious? Like when one dog barks, another one starts? Last night someone 4 doors down get their hens killed by a fox (they leave their coop open, never seen a fox in 6years of keeping them) and one of my chickens started making a noise at 4.30 which is most unusual. I'm just thinking that the fox could have either been into my girls run and moved on, or my chicken heard my neighbours girls squark and Matilda decided to join in. I didn't think much to it in the morning, mainly because I was still half asleep and foxes didn't really bother me until then I've never seen a fox in my area before; I was becoming a bit complacent but now I'll definitely make sure everything is secure. bostock422
You can buy fox repellents (sprays) on amazon, although I've never tried them myself
