Chicken Kitty
A quick question..... If you were given the choice of Sussex bantams or Pekins which would you go for? I have read that both are lovely and friendly I know that (unfortunately) both can be broody....not sure which one tends to be less broody though!? Can anyone recommend one or the other.....or both!? zakjon-98
I have Sussex and would definitely recommend them. Great layers (6 a week) and really friendly. Although I don't have pekins from posts and books I think they would be more broody. My Sussex have not gone broody yet. Pekins are top of my wish list! poppy ben grace
Hi, if you have the room why not get both! Sorry, not very helpful. I have 3 pekins and adore them.
Mollie333
Pekins!
sparkysmum
If you're looking for eggs then I would say Sussex. I have a pekin who looks adorable, but is a feisty little madam, is frequently broody & doesn't exactly lay for Scotland
