Shower curtains !!

But, if you don't need rain proofing and only want shade you can use cotton sheeting or what I use on dry days is garden screening (usually comes on a 1 or 2 metre high, 4 metre long roll- made of reeds/bamboo/willow). This gives you slightly dappled shade and keeps the run airy rather that the humid greenhouse effect from plastic.

I find the omlet bungees hooks really useful and I have also used safety pins/nappy (daiper) pins to attach these covers. The shower curtains usually come with hooks and the bottom end without the holes I reinforce with fabric tape before making holes to fix that end. With shower curtains the world is your oyster !

Fab tip! I like the sound of this.

I apologize if this has been posted already.

Can you recommend a good alternative to the Eglu Classic Shade? The US shop has run out of stock and I'd like my hens to be protected from the pending summer sun.

Thanks!

Hi Chezlebo - I'm in Boston but heading to the UK in a few weeks to see my family. I can get one for you and post it when I get back to Boston. Send me a private message if you're interested. Jane x
