To wash or not?

Recommended Posts

One of our ex batts has a really messy bottom lately. Twice this week we've given her bottom a bath in a bowl of warm soapy water. The first time we just let her back into the run and when she had dried out all the feathers were still all clumped together and she soon got all messy again. Today we dried her with the hairdryer on a cool setting, took some time, but she just sat on the garden table and wasn't at all bothered. She now has a lovely fluffy bottom, not sure how long it will last :?

Moomin's getting a bum wash this morning. She enjoys it a bit to much I think, as she'll stand and nap on the draining board afterwards with her nice fluffy bum.

My advice is to clear the window sill before you start and have a towel and the hair dryer plugged in ready to go.
