Heidi-Hi
Yip, or your dearest 7 year old tries and help, but forget to shut the gate properly, and 11 chickens decend on the main garden and clear every single 4 week old seedlings in my flowerbeds

percy049
Or, your hens wait until you aren't looking through the window before they enter the 'protected' fruit/veg garden, and eat and have a dustbath in your strawberries, as well as digging up the sweet peas you planted the day before. jennym
Oh, I'm sorry for all your wasted hard work in the garden but this thread gave me a good laugh! Our ladies' favourite place to be seemed to be our 2 small raised beds in a 500 sq metre garden I've now built a (hopefully) impenetrable cage over one, will do the other next weekend. I have visions of hens in camouflage gear, siddling along walls and creeping over/under fences to the 'target' - nice ripe berries

bluekarin
or they wait until you have done a lovely seed bed, all in neat rows, with labels and everything, and then dust bathe through the whole thing and moving potato plants 3ft away from where you put them! And if that wasn't enough, then go through a recently planted border and hoof everything out! My fault though for not netting it off Love the commando chicken pic
