Thought you might like to see this beautiful bird. We were on holiday in Borneo in April and our guide thought it hilarious that I would take photos of chickens and even more so that my girls were on a "chicken holiday!"

This chap looks like some sort of game breed . . . don't know what others think.

 

I don't think the chook addiction has quite caught on in most other countries the way it has here and in America, partly because they never got into the big industiral thing, so their chooks have always done all things chickeny and are taken to be part of the backdrop of life, scratching about everywhere. Not a bad life before they go into the pot.

looks like one of the original jungle birds that Shamos, Malays and the rest of the Asian Hardfeathers came from. The straight back looks very shamo-esque but the tail is different.
