Henergy
I've got the stand as I've not got an Eglu. Its great - very handy so I move the food around their area out of the sun, rain etc. Can't advise about the super glug though.
witzend
I've got 2 ! I wanted one for each of the G&Gs in my soon-to-be-built WIR. and I wanted to put them against the walls rather than at 90 degrees ..............one stand fits 1 G on each side (diff heights)..............and also be able to move them around

Chortle Chook
I have a stand and am delighted with it It is just so easy to pick up and take indoors at night. I can't see why it wouldn't fit a superglug.

mum-2-olly
quick question, can the hens drink from the TOP ONLY of the old style superglug with the drinking nipples?
migsy
Why don't people use cheap gravity feeders and drinkers? I think they are great as you can get really big ones so that you don't need to fill them up quite so often.

I take mine in of an evening because I don't want to attract unwanted garden visitors - I struggle removing and carrying a near full glug in, which i imagine could last a fairly long time, so size isn't necessarily the issue, the grub could hold a lot of food too - but again I don't see the point in filling it up when it's going to be brought in and out nightly - they come with the eglu, so why not use them? englishrose
I was drawn to the title ~ 'just treated myself!' and thought that I would announce the same! I have just ordered a fried egg egglu and I'm over the moon... I have bought this for my 2 girls, Maisy Brown and Tiny and boy do I love these 2. I wanted a really warm little home for them for the winter and I have searched for the last 2 weeks for something a little special and came across the fried egglu, what could be more fitting for 2 super ex-batt girlies. Love to all the girls. xx
englishrose
Oops, I forgot to mention that my special girls were homed from the BHWT collection at Great Totham on Sunday 5th June. It's amazing how far they have come in such a short space of time. I'm just watching Chicken Run as I type, so with tissues to hand I'm signing off. xx

I was just suggesting an alternative as if you don't use the Eglu run, there is a problem about hanging the grub and glug up and the stand is expensive. mum-2-olly
im not going to make life hard for myself, i like to put treats in the bars so they have to work for them a bit, im not changing my set up for someone else because they cant keep their hands and feet to themselves like a child!!!!! we only have a front garden but do have a high fence around it so even if you walk past you cant really see the hens, no trouble so far and my girls are so quiet they dont attract unnecessary attention wither thank goodness. i think the only answer is to electrify the gate! maybe i shouldnt have started this thread! its making me madder and madder!
