Treacle
On my return home from work yesterday I found my daughter up in her room with her earphones in listening to music lost in a world of her own. The 2 dogs were in the kitchen with the back door open into the garden as the weather was fine. (All sounds quite normal so far?) Normally when I walk into the kitchen I get flattened by the dogs but not this time! They dogs were hovering in an agitated manor while 5 chickens wandered around the kitchen having a good look around!!! My 13 year old Jack Russell looked at me in utter terror while the Springer just couldn't decide what to do for the best!!!
Jools
Oh gawd! It would have been a different story here - I have two fences between my chooks and terrors, otherwise I'd have no chooks!
Henergy
Oh gosh ! I witnessed today one of mine escaping too....I know I should clip them but I know they can't come to much harm in the garden so I don't fret too much when they get out of the free range area. However, I've never seen how they get out. Anyway I happened to be in the conservatory this am on the phone when I noticed that one was a bit distressed - pacing up & down & obviously watching something. Next thing I knew she'd hopped onto the bench and flew a good 6 ft up & and 6 ft out over the omlet netting & ran under another bench. I've no idea what she'd seen but I think it probably was a dormouse as we do get a few here !
