Couperwife
ok, only 2 of us have voted, but is it me or do we just think that England are a bit rubbish at sport at the moment. I am totally patriotic and I would love to have an official St Georges day (like the irish have st paddies day) I have a towel that it a union jack and even get the new England Footie shirt when it comes out but I really do think that we dont take sport as seriously as we should, We could be so much better
gooner.girl
I am totally unpatriotic and want Brazil to win... Reason? England - 0 "Ooops, word censored!"nal players Brazil - 1 "Ooops, word censored!"nal player - Gilberto! Come on Brazil!!! England are pants anyway. Couperwife
is this favouritism or are they eye candy????
gooner.girl
No eye candy! Is purely that as an "Ooops, word censored!"nal fan i can't get my head round supporting players i dislike week in week out when they play for their club teams - eg Rooney, Terry etc... You'll find a lot of proper club football fans feel the same - is more the neutrals that support England. I support which ever team has the most "Ooops, word censored!"nal players - tonight thats Brazil - more generally its France! Support England in the athletics, rugby and cricket though! Couperwife
Couperman is a Middlesbrough supporter, I follow Tamworth FC , (only cos I come from Tamworth) who have just been relegated past the bottom - now below the conference league ) I watch Boro cos he does - dont really follow it though - i'm clueless when it comes to the offside rule - have lots of friends that are avid supporters
helenp
I agree with Helen as a fellow gooner myself!!(Although I suppose as I live in Derbyshire,I should support Derby) A draw is better than a loss, bit it would have been good to have won the first Home international at Wembley. Lets just hope the boys can beat Estonia.
Sheilaz
..... - i'm clueless when it comes to the offside rule - ..... Oh, do let me explain! I spent ages trying to understand when my son explained it to me patiently & repeatedly, even using vinegar, salt & pepper pots to illustrate, but it just didn't click. Then, I saw it demonstrated using a handbag & a purse and trying on a dress in a shop and someone running in front to pay, and it all became clear! So, Couperwife, a shopping trip is needed & I see if I'll can show you!
