Generally I go for Lord of the Rings, it doesn't matter if I know it inside out. This year, inspired by threads about books, I have returned to The Far Pavilions, its a big history rich, beautifully written love story. I think that will do nicely. Made me think of buying a kindle as if this book fell on your head it coud kill you whereas a Kindle would be safer . . . . (a good reason do you think?)
